Privacy Policy
At OnClouds UK, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you visit http://onclouds.uk or make a purchase from our store.
What Info We Collect
When you buy something:
You give us your name, where you live, your email, a phone number, and payment bits. Obviously, we need this to get your order to your door. Can’t send trainers to an empty house, right?
When you just browse:
We pick up things like your IP address, what browser you’re on (Chrome? Safari?), what device you’re using, and which pages you click through. Nothing creepy. Just helps us figure out if the site’s working right or if something’s broken.
If you sign up for emails:
We’ll keep your email address. Only so we can send you updates about new On drops or decent deals. You can tell us to stop whenever you want. No hard feelings.
Why We Need Your Info
Pretty straightforward really:
-
- To send you the shoes you paid for
- To let you know when they’ve shipped or if something’s gone wrong with delivery
- Occasionally to tell you about new colourways or sales (but only if you’re up for hearing from us)
- To make the website less annoying to use
- To stop people trying to mess with your account or steal stuff
- To get a rough idea of what trainers UK folks actually want so we stock the right ones
That’s it. Nothing fancy.
Who Gets to See Your Info
Here’s the important bit: we don’t sell your details to anyone. Full stop.
But we do need to loop in some other companies to actually run the shop:
-
- Payment people – Stripe, PayPal, whoever handles the money bit. They need your payment details to do their job.
- Delivery folk – Royal Mail, DPD, Evri, whoever’s dropping off your box. They need your name and address.
- Website techs – The people who keep this site from falling over.
Everyone we share with has signed bits of paper saying they’ll look after your info properly. They can’t use it for anything except the job we hired them for.
If the law comes knocking with a proper warrant or court order, yeah, we’d have to hand stuff over. That’s how it works.
Keeping Your Stuff Safe
We’re not messing around here. Your info sits on secure servers. When you send stuff to us, it’s encrypted with SSL (that little padlock in your browser bar). Payment details go straight to trusted gateways – we don’t even keep full card numbers on our end.
Look, nothing online is bulletproof. Hackers exist. Systems have bad days. But we take every sensible step to keep your data locked down. If there’s ever a problem, we’ll tell you straight away.
About Cookies
Cookies are just tiny files your browser stores. They remember stuff so you don’t have to type everything twice.
We use them for:
-
- Keeping your basket from emptying if you click away
- Recognising you when you come back
- Seeing which parts of the site people actually use
- Making pages load faster
You can turn cookies off in your browser settings if they freak you out. But honestly, the site won’t work as well. Basket might forget what you picked. Up to you though.
Your Rights
You’ve got rights. Here’s what you can ask us:
“What info do you have on me?” – We’ll send you a copy. Free of charge.
“Fix this mistake.” – If we’ve got your postcode wrong or something, just say.
“Delete my stuff.” – You can ask us to wipe your data. We’ll do it unless there’s a legal reason to hang onto it (like if HMRC needs order records).
“Stop emailing me.” – Hit unsubscribe. We’ll stop.
“Don’t share my data.” – If you’re not comfortable with us using certain partners, tell us. We’ll figure it out.
Just email support@onclouds.uk and we’ll sort it. We reply within a couple days usually.
Kids Using the Site
Look, our site sells adult-sized running shoes. It’s not aimed at kids under 16. If you’re younger than that, you shouldn’t be buying stuff here without your parents knowing. We don’t deliberately collect info from children. If we somehow end up with a kid’s details by accident, email us, and we’ll delete them.
Policy Updates
Things change. Maybe the law shifts. Maybe we can start using a new delivery company. If we update this page, we’ll bump the date at the top.
If it’s a big change – like we start doing something totally different with your info – we’ll email you to let you know. Otherwise, just check back here now and then.
